Metatron hosts a search MCP server for this site at the /mcp path. Any MCP client can use it to search published documentation.

What it covers

  • Searches: pages included in this site’s navigation.
  • Excludes: hidden pages and anything outside the navigation.
  • Authentication: none. Public pages are available to anyone.
Metatron documents the search MCP as searching all indexed public pages. Its results come only from this site.

Tools

The server exposes the tools that Metatron provides for search. Use your client’s tool list to see the exact names in your session, because the names are determined by the platform rather than by this repository.
  • Search. Returns matching pages for a natural-language or keyword query. Optional parameters can narrow results to a site version, when the site has more than one.
  • Query documentation filesystem. Reads documentation content by path, for agents that need the full text of a known page.
Neither tool writes to the site.

Limits

Metatron documents these per-site limits for the public search MCP: A shared limit means one heavy client can exhaust it for everyone. If you hit the limit, wait and retry. Do not loop on the request.

What it does not do

  • It does not read Metatron’s runtime, files, or inbox.
  • It does not call any Metatron tool.
  • It does not authenticate you to any other system.

Verifying the endpoint

Before you rely on it, confirm the endpoint responds:
A successful response is a JSON-RPC result containing serverInfo. Replace <DOCS_DOMAIN> with the live domain. This command will not work until the site is deployed.
